Shade-friendly and aromatic native plants frame an inviting front walkway and set the tone for this large and varied 6,500 sq. ft. garden that creatively combines modern and traditional elements. Planted in 2014, the plant selection pays homage to the nearby Ballona Creek Wetlands. Carex panda interspersed throughout the landscape as a lawn alternative provides restful negative space. The rear and side yards contain cozy outdoor rooms framed with natives. A steep back yard slope is planted with fragrant evergreen currant to prevent erosion. Design: FormLA Landscaping.
